Below are some instructions which are provided by UPSC (On its website) during your exam.
Candidates have to bring the printout of the e-admit card in each session to secure admission to the examination hall.
The e-admit cards need to be preserved till the declaration of the written result.
The candidates will be responsible for safe custody of the e-admit cards.
If the candidates appear at a test-center/sub-center/optional subject other than the one indicated by the Commission in the e-admit card, their answer scripts will not be evaluated and their candidature is liable to be cancelled.
Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card have to bring a photo identity proof, such as, Adhar Card/Driving Licence/Passport/Voter ID Card, etc. as well as two passport size photographs, one for each session to appear for the examination with an undertaking.
Candidates have to enter the examination hall 20 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the test.
Candidates will not be admitted to the examination hall if they report 10 minutes after the scheduled commencement of the test.
The use of scientific (non-programmable type) calculators is allowed in the examination hall, if needed, whereas programmable type calculators are not allowed.
Possession/use of mobile phones and other electronics/communication devices is not allowed in the examination premises.
For conventional (essay-type) papers, candidate have to strictly answer all parts and sub-parts of a question in the Question Cum Answer (QCA) booklet in the space provided under each question part. Moreover, candidates are advised to ensure that spaces/pages remaining blank are clearly crossed out before the QCA booklet is handed over to the invigilator.
Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuables in the examination hall, as safe keeping of the same cannot be assured.
